Tollerton in North Yorkshire

Meeting at Warehills Lane Junction on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 with Darren Griffiths, Traffic Engineering NYCC. Ian Jackson and Sue Brookes Parish Councillors.

The difficulty for motorists using this junction was discussed and the Traffic Engineer recognised that there were definite issues with the sightline for motorists emerging onto Netwon Road. We discussed possible solutions but even the cheapest would cost considerable sum and NYCC has limited budget. They have far worse junctions that require work and so have higher priority. We flagged that we wished for it to be kept for consideration, the possibility of finding funding to split the cost of the improvement was also discussed and this would help.

The Parish Council has since had the junction surveyed by an independent contractor and now has accurate drawings to call on when we are applying for funding.

This remains a priority for the Parish Council and we will update if we make any progress.

Being able to access support whilst a loved one is dying is really important for a number of reasons. Gaining knowledge of what may happen towards the end and having a sense of ‘preparedness’ helps both the person dying and their family gain as much control as possible.
